Mayser Safety Mats or Safety Steps are protective devices for making surface area danger zones safe.
The task of the Safety Mats is to protect people against dangerous moving units in automated production processes. Typical areas of application are found for example on machines, systems and robots.
When the Safety Mat is stepped on, the machine or system is placed in a safe operating condition in that the drive is switched off. Mayser Safety Mats comply with the requirements for safety technology of the EN 1760-1, EN 13849 and, if necessary, 94/9/EG (ATEX) standards. They are designed for large mechanical loads and can be used for millions of switching operations.
