Safety Mats for use in buses and trains
Mayser Safety Steps are flat protective devices for the entrance and exit area of buses and trains.
They ensure sensitive surfaces for entrance aids such as wheelchair ramps and power steps. Together with our Safety Edges and wireless Signal Transmission Systems, Mayser Safety Steps ensure safety on bus and train doors.
When the Safety Step is activated by passengers getting on or off, the door control receives a signal to stop the closing movement of the vehicle door and retraction of the step.
The sensors are suitable for safeguarding folding, sliding and swivelling steps as well as wheelchair ramps and hoisting lifts on buses, trains and other public transport vehicles.
We adapt our Safety Steps especially to your requirements. If required, we also equip your entrance aids with extension protection, which stops the extension movement of the step as soon as it meets with an obstacle.
Like all our safety systems used in public transport, the Safety Steps comply with the requirements of VDV 111 .
